It was the 2nd Friday in July, just days after my 2nd wedding anniversary, when I screened part 2 of my bizarre little Batman trilogy...  just weeks before part 2 of the new Batman trilogy opens in theatres.  The last Batman film that I showed at The Loft's First Friday Shorts came in 2nd place...  but this night...  was different...

Yes, the lucky number 2 shined down on me from heaven (if the number 2 is not dead then please forgive my error) and my newest film, Batman's Bad Day took home the big prize!

July turned out to be a very weak month at The Loft's contest, actually - mostly due to the large UA student portion of the audience/talent pool leaving town for summer break.  But, hey, I won't complain that my film was only seen by 200 people instead of 500 - because it won, baby!  Plus, next May when The Loft has their championship showdown I'll have a slight advantage over the other entries:  most of the people in the audience will not have seen my film yet, and therefore, their blown-awayedness will be doubled!
