48-Hour Shootout Entry Wins 3 of 5 Awards
The Greenless Pictures entry for the Fall 2007 Tucson 48-Hour Shootout, APOCALYPT-A-COP, came away from the 10/30/2007 awards show the winner of 3 awards.
Phillip Lybrand took home the Best Cinematography award for his nifty camera work, Levi Dever reeled in the Best Actor trophy for his work as the film's titular character, and the movie also won the award for best use of the required elements.
After the award for Best Overall Film was awarded, it was revealed that the prize was sitting on a three-way tie before the final judge's vote was cast, with APOCALYPT-A-COP being one of the three films in contention. The final vote, however, was given to First Date, a warm hearted, if amateurish love story. 'Date' also won the Audience Choice award, which was a no-brainer considering the army of supporters that accompanied their clan.
I can't say that I'm not disappointed since I didn't take home the big prize, but I'm very happy to have another two trophies on display so I'll keep on smilin'. |

Greenless Pictures hit it big by teaming up with the Sparkle Kids to produce the blockbuster smash hit "The Super Brand New Future Adventures of Kris Columbus." The 7-minute flick is pretty damn funny, however retarded it may be, and can be seen on Youtube. Look for it in the Greenless Screening Room shortly.
Thanks to everybody who voted for our movie to win, and to my buddy Nate for letting me join his team and finally win something at The Loft. |

The Arizona Daily Stars head movie reviwer, and fellow "Phil", Phil Villareal recently interviewed yours truly for a 'Q and A' feature. The interview will run in the February 1st edition of the AZ Daily Star in the 'Caliente' section. So make sure you stop by your local newstands to grab a copy and read all about how famous I am now... you know, this will most likely be the first piece of official press on 'Multiplex Massacre'... so it's kinda like history being created right in front of you. Now go spend 25 cents on a paper.

a 50'' Plasma TV
98rock: "98Rock vs. The PC is the winner! Phillip
will get the $1,000 and the 50'' flat screen TV. Keep an eye out for his
spot on TV soon. If you have not, take a minute to view all the spots.
It was a tough decision, but a guy getting hit in the face with a chair
is FUNNY! Sad how easily we're entertained, eh?"

-I just wanted to say "thank you" to everyone that
helped me win. I'm not entirely sure how the judging worked, but I do
know that at least part of the decision was based on the audience voting on
98Rock.com - which, thanks to all of you, I won in a landslide. This is
the 2nd really nice TV I've won in a contest like this, but it's my first actual
'first place' finish in any kind of filmmaking competition, so for that I'm
incredibly excited.
